The IHBC Director’s top pick from the HESPR Bulletin for this week is a call from Torfaen County Borough Council (CBC) which seeks ‘a detailed, on-site survey of three scheduled structures /buildings – Cwmbyrgwm Chimney, British Air Furnace and Cornish Engine House and ascertain their condition and the risk of injury to passers-by, collapse, and/or deterioration to the point where restoration would not be feasible. To provide an itemised list of the required urgent works, itemise and cost any urgent works required to make the structures safe. The expected Outputs for this commission are a single report which addresses the issues identified above, including the associated cost plans’. Closing date is 11 May and with no value is offered.
