In its second debate on topical subjects, Historic England (HE) asks how heritage can strengthen the delivery of the Northern Powerhouse objectives, a theme especially close to the IHBC just now as members await the launch of the 2017 School, in Manchester , inspired by the Powerhouse in its exploration of historic transport infrastructure and how best to sustain and gain from it?
Initial contributors to this debate include: Duncan Wilson, Chief Executive, Historic England; Andrew Percy MP, Minister for the Northern Powerhouse; Pat Power and Joe Hynes, Harcourt Developments; and Graham Bell, Director, North of England Civic Trust.
The debating approach replaces its Conservation Bulletin print publication and the new themed heritage debates will be published online four times a year.
