Community engagement specialists Planning Aid have published a guide to good public engagement in development schemes.
The easy-to-read free guide – produced by Planning Aid England (PAE) and Planning Aid for London (PAL) – contains practical advice and is illustrated by real examples of good practice. It has been produced in response to a growing number of requests for advice on good practice in engaging with local people in development schemes.
Sue Percy, Director of Planning Aid England, said: “There is no perfect recipe for good community engagement. All development schemes are different. But this guide describes some good practice ingredients which can be used to develop a positive and beneficial engagement process.”
