Labour to slash regeneration spending

Regeneration spending will be a target for budget cuts if Labour wins the next election, energy secretary Ed Miliband admitted today.

The Labour Party’s manifesto, to be launched today does not contain any big spending commitments, Miliband told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme. Labour will look for £20 billion in cuts, including £5 billion from other programmes, he said, including regeneration and legal aid.
