Another large-scale digital mapping product of interest to planners and developers has been unveiled as Landmark Promap announced the GeoInformation Group’s UKMap service, an alternative to the Ordnance Survey.
The initial roll-out provides 1:1000 large scale topographic mapping for the London area which shows buildings, garages, property boundaries, roads and trees. Over the next three years UKMap plans to provide mapping for 568 towns, cities and urban areas across the UK.
