{"id":993,"date":"2010-01-22T13:21:03","date_gmt":"2010-01-22T13:21:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=993"},"modified":"2010-03-24T13:21:20","modified_gmt":"2010-03-24T13:21:20","slug":"new-ads-chair-karen-anderson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=993","title":{"rendered":"New A+DS Chair: Karen Anderson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fiona Hyslop, Minister for Culture and  External Affairs, today announced the appointment of the new Chair of  Architecture and Design Scotland, Karen Anderson.<\/p>\n<p>Karen is an  architect and a founding partner of Anderson, Bell Christie Architects,  Glasgow. She graduated from Glasgow&#8217;s Mackintosh School of Architecture  in 1984 and has been in practice as an architect since then. \u00a0Karen has  significant experience in social housing and community involvement in  re-development, working on masterplanning and, urban and rural design  guidance in areas as diverse as Raploch, Stirling; the Isle of Gigha;  Argyll and Bute; and North Lanarkshire.<\/p>\n<p>She is a former  Commissioner of the Royal Fine Art Commission for Scotland and is  currently a Board member of Architecture and Design Scotland.
