IHBC\u2019s members and prospective members are asked to explore, scrutinise and feed back on the IHBC\u2019s evolving Corporate Plan for 2015-20 \u2013 called \u2018CP20\u2019 \u2013 and let us know what we need to add, change or develop in our next five years of forward plans, while as the consultation is part of an on-going process for the coming months there is no closing date<\/span>.<\/p>\n

IHBC Chair Mike Brown said: \u2018I am very excited about how things are progressing with our plan.\u00a0 Indeed I am very confident we\u2019ll have it approved at the next AGM because it is evolving very much out of our current plan, which has already been so successful.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018That said, we are also including the new threads of work that have developed in recent years, as well as some that we can only as yet sense.\u00a0 With the 5 year \u2018Action Plan\u2019 for CP20 also part-populated in the draft, members can see how it will guide and help set priorities for action by the organisation as a whole: our members, volunteers, staff, trustees and beyond.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018So please be sure to feed back your thoughts on CP20 to your Branch committees and representatives, to our trustees, and to the IHBC\u2019s officers in any ways that suit.\u00a0 That way we can all make this new plan as \u2018fit-for-purpose\u2019 as our current plan has proven to be\u2019.<\/p>\n

IHBC Director Sean O\u2019Reilly said: \u2018We have already delivered on more than 80% of our hugely ambitious targets from the last plan \u2013 CP10 \u2013 and it is not over yet.\u00a0 So we\u2019re really looking forward to getting good feedback on this scoping draft to help shape our future services to members and to the sector as a whole.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018One cautionary note, though, is worth bearing in mind when considering the draft Action Plan.\u00a0 Any one person is unlikely to be familiar with all the initiatives listed there \u2013 not least as so many are in the earliest stages of development \u2013 so do please get in touch with me if you need to know more details.\u00a0 Before that, though, please do check out what we\u2019ve said about these, using the search facility in our NewsBlogs.\u00a0 A simple search there should offer you a basic idea of what we are working on, even in the more nascent projects or programmes listed for actions.<\/p>\n
