{"id":9251,"date":"2014-12-27T13:59:00","date_gmt":"2014-12-27T13:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=9251"},"modified":"2014-12-22T11:08:15","modified_gmt":"2014-12-22T11:08:15","slug":"creative-cultural-skills-awards-2015-celebrate-unsung-heroes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=9251","title":{"rendered":"Creative &#038; Cultural Skills Awards 2015: Celebrate unsung heroes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Nominations for the Creative &amp; Cultural Skills (CCS) Awards 2015 are now open, celebrating exemplary individuals, organisations, apprentices and interns in the creative and cultural industries, with a closing date of 9 January<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CCS writes<\/span>:<br \/>\nThe Creative &amp; Cultural Skills Awards recognise those who have demonstrated a commitment to passing on skills and improving routes into work for young people.<\/p>\n<p>Deadline for all nominations is 5pm on\u00a0Friday\u00a09\u00a0January 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Awards will be made in the following categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Design Skills Award<\/li>\n<li>The Music Skills Award<\/li>\n<li>The Craft Skills Award<\/li>\n<li>The Jewellery Skills Award<\/li>\n<li>The Cultural Heritage Skills Award<\/li>\n<li>The Theatre Skills Award<\/li>\n<li>The Training Provider of the Year Award<\/li>\n<li>The Apprentice of the Year Award<\/li>\n<li>The Intern of the Year Award<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Six sector-specific awards will recognise individuals who have shown an outstanding commitment to passing on and developing creative skills, and who make a difference to the lives of young people entering the creative industries. \u00a0These could be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mentors<\/li>\n<li>Managers<\/li>\n<li>Tutors<\/li>\n<li>Facilitators<\/li>\n<li>Course Leaders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Training Provider of the Year Award will celebrate a business or education institution which has demonstrated an innovative approach to developing creative talent.<\/p>\n<p>The Apprentice of the Year Award and The Intern of the Year Award are particularly prestigious honours.The awards will recognise two young people from across the creative sector who have demonstrated the ambition and talent to make a real difference in his or her workplace.<\/p>\n<p>Nominees must be a current apprentice or paid intern, or must have completed their apprenticeship or internship after 5\u00a0March 2014.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ccskills.org.uk\/%20supporters\/annual-industry- conference\/awards-2015\" target=\"_blank\">further details&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nominations for the Creative &amp; Cultural Skills (CCS) Awards 2015 are now open, celebrating exemplary individuals, organisations, apprentices and interns in the creative and cultural industries, with a closing date of 9 January.
