PRC members provide expert quality reviews of funding proposals within their areas of expertise, which inform the AHRC’s decision making processes. As well as making an important contribution to the AHRC’s peer review processes, the experience gained by membership of the College also provides benefits to individuals, departments and higher education institutions.

College members are asked to review a small number of proposals, around eight per year. They may occasionally also be asked to sit on panels, which meet to decide the final grades and ranking of proposals to AHRC funding schemes. College members will be reimbursed for travel and subsistence expenses incurred on AHRC business, and they will also receive a payment towards panel membership.

We are now seeking to appoint academic reviewers within the subject areas listed below. We are also seeking to appoint technical reviewers who review technical aspects of research proposals.

We welcome nominations for all candidates who meet the relevant eligibility criteria, at all stages of their career.
