{"id":8910,"date":"2014-11-07T18:21:19","date_gmt":"2014-11-07T18:21:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=8910"},"modified":"2014-11-07T18:21:19","modified_gmt":"2014-11-07T18:21:19","slug":"ihbc-jobs-etc-for-78-nov-annual-salaries-c-0-5m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=8910","title":{"rendered":"IHBC &#8216;Jobs etc&#8217;\u00a0for 7\/8 Nov: Annual salaries @ c.\u00a30.5m+"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The IHBC&#8217;s highly respected &#8216;Jobs etc&#8217; resource for the week ending 7 November is advertising posts with combined annual salaries conservatively estimated at \u00a3519,798, a strong indication of the healthy interest in employing appropriately skilled practitioners in conservation and related roles across the built and historic\u00a0environment<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>IHBC Director Sean O&#8217;Reilly said: &#8216;It is great for IHBC members to see these jobs notices arriving so regularly in their email inboxes &#8211; a service we offer all our members.\u00a0 It also shows just how much more emphasis is being placed on getting the right skills &#8211; not least conservation skills accredited by the IHBC &#8211; into the right parts of heritage management and wider development processes. \u2018<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Each one of these notices represent a little bit of good news to brighten a sector still harshly sidelined by government and so many of its policy leaders.\u00a0 Altogether these jobs are a reminder of just how important our sector is to the nation\u2019s economy.\u00a0 Fortunately practitioners on the ground seem to understand that reality much better than the bureaucrats!\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018With the development of the IHBC\u2019s new Associate category of accredited membership, which tests practitioners&#8217; conservation skills in their primary discipline, the IHBC\u2019s \u2018Jobs etc\u2019 will be able to offer employers and clients even better access to skilled practitioners.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Associate membership also serves as a &#8216;stepping stone&#8217; for those many practitioners increasingly looking to secure full membership of the IHBC, so we will build that into both our listing of accredited members as well as our directory of conservation businesses linked to IHBC\u2019s standards, HESPR.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Joanna Theobald, the IHBC\u2019s \u2018Jobs etc\u2019 website manager said: \u2018Our continuing success here demonstrates that those managers, employers and clients who care about reaching the best candidates can see the value of the IHBC\u2019s \u2018Jobs etc\u2019 service.\u00a0 And it\u2019s not only for jobs, but it advertises trustee posts, bursaries and contract opportunities too.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;And don&#8217;t forget that the service also adds transparency and credibility to appointments, which is especially important to the credibility of charities.\u00a0 And the value is even better too, as we also offer substantial reductions to third sector bodies.
