{"id":8898,"date":"2014-11-07T17:47:15","date_gmt":"2014-11-07T17:47:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=8898"},"modified":"2014-11-07T17:47:15","modified_gmt":"2014-11-07T17:47:15","slug":"moderate-harm-to-lb-outweighed-by-mixed-use-benefits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=8898","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Moderate\u2019 harm to LB outweighed by mixed-use benefits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Secretary of State has considered an appeal against the refusal of a 550 home development in Thanet within the setting of four Grade II listed buildings and allowed the appeal<\/span>.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Section 14 of the decision notice states that<\/span>:<br \/>\n[The Secretary of State] shares the Inspector\u2019s view (IR109) that the setting of the four GII listed buildings to the west of the site would not be preserved and that the harm to setting and significance could not be fully mitigated and that, having regard to his statutory duty under the LB Act, this is a matter which carries considerable weight against the appeal proposal.
