Following on from the success of the Professional Development Programme, the Construction Industry Council (CIC) is now offering tailor-made courses to built environment companies at a subsidised rate.<\/p>\n
Previously companies have only been able to send two members of staff per course, however CIC is now able to run PDP workshops specifically for individual companies. The course will accommodate up to 16 employees and will be located within the premises of the receiving organisation.<\/p>\n
The PDP sessions have typically covered Health and Safety in Design, Presentation Skills and Personal Development as these were identified in ARUP\u2019s \u2018Mind the Skills Gap\u2019 report as essential soft skills new graduates were lacking. \u00a0However the programme can be adapted to include training excises based on the individual needs of each organisation.<\/p>\n
