{"id":841,"date":"2009-11-24T11:11:25","date_gmt":"2009-11-24T11:11:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=841"},"modified":"2010-03-24T11:11:50","modified_gmt":"2010-03-24T11:11:50","slug":"ihbc-lb-prosecutions-data-on-web","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=841","title":{"rendered":"IHBC LB prosecutions data on web"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"id1\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>Today the IHBC launched its Listed Buildings Prosecution data resource on its web site.<\/p>\n<p>IHBC director Se\u00e1n O\u2019Reilly said: &#8220;This is a special moment in our history, \u00a0the database actually predates the IHBC, yet, like much of our best work, it arose as a voluntary initiative. \u00a0We are extremely proud to have helped in the development of this national reference for conservation specialists.&#8221;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThis database was created in 1996 on the initiative of Bob Kindred &#8211; today the IHBC\u2019s voluntary Local Government Officer &#8211; to help to establish levels of local authority prosecution activity.<\/p>\n<p>Bob Kindred, MBE, said: &#8220;When I started, I hadn\u2019t anticipated that it might become a national resource. \u00a0In retrospect, and in light of the Secretary of State&#8217;s 1994 policy to encourage prosecutions where appropriate, alongside several very high profile cases, it has more than proved its worth. \u00a0But we need cases to be reported to us to maintain its effectiveness, so we\u2019re encouraging people to use the data, and to let us know when there are any more cases to be added to the list.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The prosecution data can be found on:<br \/>\n<a title=\"http:\/\/www.ihbc.org.uk\/prosecutions.htm\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ihbc.org.uk\/prosecutions.htm\">www.ihbc.org.uk\/prosecutions.htm<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today the IHBC launched its Listed Buildings Prosecution data resource on its web site.
