{"id":817,"date":"2009-11-16T11:02:48","date_gmt":"2009-11-16T11:02:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=817"},"modified":"2010-03-24T11:03:16","modified_gmt":"2010-03-24T11:03:16","slug":"20m-for-scotland%e2%80%99s-high-streets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=817","title":{"rendered":"\u00a320m for Scotland\u2019s High streets"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"id1\">\n<div>\n<div>A total of 41 Scottish high streets across Scotland will share \u00a320m of government cash to revitalise their town centres.<br \/>\nIt is the second tranche of money awarded from the \u00a360 million Town Centre Regeneration Fund set up earlier this year \u2013 \u00a340m of the fund was distributed in August. It is expected that 320 jobs will be supported through the latest investment, which brings the total number of jobs supported through the fund to nearly 1,000. Clydebank South Bank, Brechin and Linlithgow are the biggest winners taking \u00a31.8m, \u00a31.8m and \u00a31.7m, respectively.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nA range of projects have now been given the green light including open-air entertainment venues, town hall and theatre upgrades and facilities for weekend markets. Housing and Communities Minister Alex Neil said: &#8220;It&#8217;s vital we support innovative public and private sector companies and community groups to move forward with ideas that will support local jobs, businesses and families.
