{"id":7877,"date":"2014-06-20T16:43:35","date_gmt":"2014-06-20T15:43:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=7877"},"modified":"2014-06-20T16:43:35","modified_gmt":"2014-06-20T15:43:35","slug":"nominations-sought-for-church-building-awards-new-build-conservation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=7877","title":{"rendered":"Nominations sought for church building awards (new build &#038; conservation)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The National Churches Trust have announced details of two awards recognising innovation in new church architecture, and The King of Prussia&#8217;s Gold Medal for church conservation work, with a deadline of Friday 3rd October 2014<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The National Churches Trust writes<\/span>:<br \/>\nNominations for the best new church buildings and for innovative church conservation architecture are being sought for two prestigious awards.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>New church buildings and new designs in church re-ordering, alterations or extensions can be entered for The Presidents&#8217; Award. The award is open to church buildings of all Christian denominations in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>The Presidents&#8217; Award is awarded on behalf of the Ecclesiastical Architects and Surveyors Association President and the\u00a0 National Churches Trust&#8217;s Joint Presidents, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York.<\/p>\n<p>Projects are eligible if they have been completed within the last three years or after the Practical Completion stage in their development.<\/p>\n<p>The 2013 Presidents&#8217; Award was awarded to the Michael Dales Partnership for the new Parish Room at St Mary&#8217;s Church, Hertingfordbury, Hertfordshire.<\/p>\n<p>Innovative, high quality church conservation or repair work that has successfully overcome a major aesthetic or technical challenge is eligible to be entered for The King of Prussia&#8217;s Gold Medal.
