{"id":7266,"date":"2014-02-28T15:03:38","date_gmt":"2014-02-28T15:03:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=7266"},"modified":"2014-02-28T18:48:20","modified_gmt":"2014-02-28T18:48:20","slug":"edinburgh-tree-homes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=7266","title":{"rendered":"Edinburgh tree homes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">A children\u2019s tree house built in the Scottish capital that faced being axed in a wrangle over planning permission has been reprieved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Edinburgh City Council argued that the tree house had a negative visual impact and posed privacy issues for neighbours.<\/p>\n<p>But Karl and Sarah Winkler, who built the tree house in the garden of their Viewforth home, have won an appeal against the enforcement order requiring its removal.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time a tree house has caused a planning furore in Edinburgh.
