{"id":7227,"date":"2014-02-21T18:20:45","date_gmt":"2014-02-21T18:20:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=7227"},"modified":"2014-02-21T18:20:45","modified_gmt":"2014-02-21T18:20:45","slug":"nominations-sought-for-2014-national-lottery-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=7227","title":{"rendered":"Nominations sought for 2014 National Lottery Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The 2014 National Lottery Awards, which include a heritage category and <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">is open to any organisation that has received National Lottery funding<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">, are now open for nominations<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">, with a deadline for entries of Wednesday 12 March.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>IHBC members may be aware of community projects which they feel deserve a nomination.<b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The National Lottery writes:<br \/>\n<\/span>The National Lottery Awards have seven categories &#8211; each reflecting an area of Lottery funding: Arts, Education, Environment, Health, Heritage, Sport and Voluntary\/Charity.<\/p>\n<p>The entrants that make it to the finals of The National Lottery Awards will receive national recognition at a star-studded event, broadcast on BBC One, later this year. They will also have a chance to win a \u00a32,000 cash prize.<\/p>\n<p>John Barrowman, presenter of last year\u2019s Awards show, is urging people to propel their favourite charity into national limelight.<\/p>\n<p>John says: \u2018National Lottery players raise an incredible \u00a333 million every week for Good Causes. Think of the life-changing projects in your community and the chances are they\u2019re Lottery-funded. Funding is supporting a range of causes from helping adults into employment and community sports to urban regeneration and ground-breaking arts projects.
