{"id":6892,"date":"2013-12-09T18:23:40","date_gmt":"2013-12-09T18:23:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=6892"},"modified":"2013-12-09T18:23:40","modified_gmt":"2013-12-09T18:23:40","slug":"5m-to-create-eh-charity-with-83m-funding-target","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=6892","title":{"rendered":"\u00a35m to create EH charity with \u00a383m funding target"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Culture Secretary Maria Miller announced a further \u00a35 million funding to create a new charity arm of English Heritage to manage England\u2019s precious historic sites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The DCMS writes:<br \/>\n<\/span>The new charitable status will give English Heritage freedom to raise funds, with a target of finding a further \u00a383 million from third parties, allowing it to undertake a huge programme of conservation for properties and works to improve the visitor experience.
