{"id":689,"date":"2009-10-02T18:09:10","date_gmt":"2009-10-02T18:09:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=689"},"modified":"2010-03-23T18:09:40","modified_gmt":"2010-03-23T18:09:40","slug":"ihbc-president-welcomes-2000-ihbc-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=689","title":{"rendered":"IHBC President welcomes 2000 IHBC Members!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eddie Booth, IHBC President, has welcomed the news that IHBC\u2019s membership has passed 2000. \u00a0He said: &#8220;This is not only due to our successful membership drives over recent years \u2013 people are joining the IHBC because they want to contribute.\u00a0 It is a very healthy sign that so many members have joined in the last two years.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>IHBC Director Se\u00e1n O\u2019Reilly added: &#8220;This year alone we\u2019ve distributed more than 30,000 membership leaflets across the full breadth of conservation interests. \u00a0Not only do we secure new members this way, with many coming forward as volunteers with professional qualifications, but we also let people know what we\u2019re doing, and why we do it.<\/p>\n<p>Our website is the other way people find us. \u00a0It\u2019s supported by our members, and open to anyone. \u00a0The site captures the full breadth of informed public and professional interest in how we conserve our places as resources for the future.
