{"id":6363,"date":"2013-08-30T15:54:45","date_gmt":"2013-08-30T14:54:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=6363"},"modified":"2013-08-30T15:54:45","modified_gmt":"2013-08-30T14:54:45","slug":"john-muir-trust-goes-to-court-over-fort-augustus-turbine-plans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=6363","title":{"rendered":"John Muir Trust goes to court over Fort Augustus turbine plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Conservation group The John Muir Trust has decided to mount a legal challenge over a decision by Highland Council to raise no objection to a 67-turbine wind farm near Fort Augustus.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>SSE Renewables had proposed a wind farm with up to 83 turbines at Stronelairg, near its Glendoe hydro electric scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Councillors voted not to oppose the project if certain conditions were agreed, including a reduction in size.
