{"id":6289,"date":"2013-08-09T16:28:15","date_gmt":"2013-08-09T15:28:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=6289"},"modified":"2013-08-09T18:27:56","modified_gmt":"2013-08-09T17:27:56","slug":"hs-rcahms-strategy-responses-welcoming-but-impacts-of-new-charity-unclear","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=6289","title":{"rendered":"HS-RCAHMS strategy responses welcoming, but impacts of new charity unclear!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Built Environment Forum Scotland (BEFS) has issued its summary of key points raised in the consultation on the new Historic Environment Strategy, while other bodies such as the RIAS and National Heritage Training Group have also submitted responses<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">BEFS writes<\/span>:<br \/>\nThe key themes highlighted in the BEFS response are as follows:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00b7 The collaborative approach advocated in the Strategy is welcomed but the question that arises is how this aspiration will be delivered collectively?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00b7 The document identifies challenges but the linkage to proposed actions is unclear \u2013 baseline evidence is needed to inform proposed activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00b7 Local authorities are already under extreme financial pressure and local expertise within is already at risk.
