{"id":5964,"date":"2013-06-14T15:35:57","date_gmt":"2013-06-14T15:35:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=5964"},"modified":"2013-06-14T15:35:57","modified_gmt":"2013-06-14T15:35:57","slug":"new-lb-enforcement-prosecution-at-grimsby","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=5964","title":{"rendered":"New LB enforcement prosecution at Grimsby"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">A new successful listed buildings enforcement prosecution by Grimsby has been added to the IHBC\u2019s prosecution database, as a homeowner has been ordered to pay \u00a31,500 for leaving up unsightly scaffolding at a listed building in Grimsby for six years<\/span>.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Grimsby Telegraph writes<\/span>:<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Paul Brown, of Pelham Terrace (off Brighowgate), Grimsby was found guilty at Grimsby and Cleethorpes Magistrates\u2019 Court in May 2013 after admitted two offences of failing to comply with the Listed Buildings Enforcement Notice under Section 7 of the 1990 Act for leaving up unsightly scaffolding in place at the front of the listed building for six years commencing in 2007. He was fined \u00a3750 and ordered to pay \u00a3750 costs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Council considered that Pelham Terrace built in 1854 by the Earl of Yarborough to be among the finest historic buildings in Grimsby.
