These developments ensure that this critical membership and public service is even more connected to the people that shape our places, especially given the dire and urgent need for some credible education and training opportunities for early or evolving careers interests in conservation.’

‘So please do be sure to tell the IHBC about any non-commercial learning or award opportunities so that we can post them! (contact@ihbc.org.uk) At 200,000 page views a month, our suite of web resources is the essential starting point for anyone interested in historic and built environment conservation skills, and this page now sits at the heart of that network!’

‘Remember also that this service is a part of our wider charitable operations, so if you connect opportunities to us, you are also helping deliver wider public benefit across the UK. The ‘Awards etc’ web resource is also just another of the IHBC’s diverse services that help support the places we all care about and seek to improve.’

‘Don’t forget too that this service is a research and learning resource as well, because we don’t remove listings. Many opportunities are repeated over different years or by different lead bodies, and we don’t always hear about them, so you should also use this as a ‘signpost’ to opportunities as well as a listing of them. That means we can also take advantage of the fact that it is just too costly to monitor this service in such depth. So smart users will go back through the listings and see what other opportunities might be there that they could follow up on!’

‘Indeed if you follow the likes and shares, you just might discover the income lifeline that becomes the lifetime opportunity .’

See the IHBC’s own student award at: http://gasa.ihbc.org.uk/

Download the student award flyer at: LINK

See the IHBC’s new ‘Awards etc’ page at: http://awards.ihbc.org.uk/

The IHBC’s free web page listing of non-commercial ‘Awards, placements, bursaries and scholarships’ opportunities has been re-cast to make it more mobile friendly and accessible, and its updates can be ‘liked’ across a range of digital social networks and ‘searched’ … Continue reading →

[1

post-5861","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-ihbc-newsblog
["GET
