{"id":5578,"date":"2013-03-22T17:12:18","date_gmt":"2013-03-22T17:12:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=5578"},"modified":"2013-03-22T17:12:18","modified_gmt":"2013-03-22T17:12:18","slug":"locality-partners-to-deliver-9-5m-of-neighbourhood-planning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=5578","title":{"rendered":"Locality partners to deliver \u00a39.5m of neighbourhood planning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">A partnership led by Locality and including IHBC past-chair and HESPR designated adviser Dave Chetwyn, is providing a new programme of support and grants to help communities create neighbourhood plans, with \u00a39.5m funding available.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>IHBC past-chair and designated service adviser on the IHBC\u2019s business listing HESPR, Dave Chetwyn, in his role as Managing Director of Urban Vision Enterprise CIC, said: \u2018Urban Vision is very pleased to be involved with this important programme. Communities are already demonstrating that they are well able to plan for the future of their local neighbourhoods and to take tough decisions to secure sustainable growth\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Locality writes:<\/span><br \/>\nPeople can use neighbourhood plans to shape development in their community, such as the location of new housing and businesses.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Programme &amp; fund open 1 May<\/span><br \/>\nThe Neighbourhood Planning fund and support programme will open on 1 May 2013 and last for two years. Groups will be able to bid for up to \u00a37,000 each to help them produce their plan.<\/p>\n<p>More than 500 communities across England are making use of the new neighbourhood planning powers. This funding will be available to them, as well as new groups coming forward.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Locality and partners will deliver programme<\/span><br \/>\nLocality will be delivering the new programme in partnership with Royal Town Planning Institute, Planning Aid England, the Community Development Foundation, Urban Vision Enterprise, Eden Project and URS.<\/p>\n<p>Steve Wyler, CEO of Locality, said: \u2018We\u2019re delighted to be awarded the neighbourhood planning contract to provide support to communities across the country wanting to transform their local area.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Locality has experience of working with pioneering groups to design their own neighbourhood plans.
