{"id":5265,"date":"2013-01-11T17:58:43","date_gmt":"2013-01-11T17:58:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=5265"},"modified":"2013-01-11T17:58:43","modified_gmt":"2013-01-11T17:58:43","slug":"ofsted-on-citb-constructionskills-learning-services-outstanding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=5265","title":{"rendered":"OFSTED on CITB-ConstructionSkills learning services: \u2018outstanding\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CITB-ConstructionSkills today celebrated a clean sweep of \u2018outstanding\u2019 ratings following an Ofsted inspection of its provision for learners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ofsted rated the organisation as \u2018outstanding\u2019 in all three of its inspection categories; outcomes for learners; quality of teaching; learning and assessment and effectiveness of leadership and management.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The report found<\/span>:<br \/>\n\u00b7 Outstanding learning, assessment and support strategies<br \/>\n\u00b7 Highly effective training programmes enabling learners to make significant progress<br \/>\n\u00b7 Outstanding personal and learning support<br \/>\n\u00b7 Learners develop particularly good skills and experience through access to some outstanding training resources<br \/>\n\u00b7 Leadership and management are highly effective in driving improvements to outcomes for learners<br \/>\n\u00b7 Quality assurance arrangements are exceptionally effective<br \/>\n\u00b7 The curriculum is extremely well planned<\/p>\n<p>Welcoming the report, CITB-ConstructionSkills Employer Services Director, Mike Bialyj, said: \u2018The construction industry has a right to expect that CITB-ConstructionSkills \u2013 the organisation it funds \u2013 will deliver cutting edge learning of the highest possible standard. With this powerful external recognition comes enormous responsibility. The inspection outcomes and report set some demanding but exciting challenges for us as a learning provider. These challenges could have significant impact on the landscape of workplace learning.
