{"id":5128,"date":"2012-11-30T18:32:55","date_gmt":"2012-11-30T18:32:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=5128"},"modified":"2012-11-30T18:32:55","modified_gmt":"2012-11-30T18:32:55","slug":"richard-review-of-apprenticeships-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=5128","title":{"rendered":"Richard Review of Apprenticeships out"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Doug Richard has set out a comprehensive vision for the future of apprenticeships in his independent report, \u2018The Richard Review of Apprenticeships\u2019 which calls on the Government to improve the quality of the programme and make them more focused on the needs of employers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Key themes and recommendations include<\/span>:<br \/>\n\u2022 Redefining apprenticeships ?Apprenticeships should be targeted only at those who are new to a job or role that requires sustained and substantial training.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Focusing with greater rigour on the outcome of an apprenticeship &#8211; ?what the apprentice can do when they complete their training \u2013 and freeing up the process by which they get there.
