{"id":47478,"date":"2026-07-28T14:19:49","date_gmt":"2026-07-28T13:19:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=47478"},"modified":"2026-07-28T14:19:49","modified_gmt":"2026-07-28T13:19:49","slug":"historic-englands-hers-grant-calls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=47478","title":{"rendered":"Historic England\u2019s HERs Grant Calls"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Historic England fund projects in response to specific calls for proposals that directly address the priorities outlined in Historic England&#8217;s Strategic Plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Historic England writes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Calls for proposals are listed below\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aerial investigation and mapping to enhance local authority HERs and address research agendas<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We invite organisations to apply for funding to undertake archaeological surveys using aerial photographs and lidar to improve Historic Environment Records (HERs), address regional research priorities, and support the protection and management of England\u2019s historic environment. Projects should focus on areas where heritage faces significant pressures from development, landscape change, climate change or gaps in archaeological knowledge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proposals must demonstrate how they will contribute to the priorities of Growth, Place and Sector as set out in Historic England\u2019s Strategic Plan 2026-2031 and adhere to Historic England\u2019s Standards and Guidance for Aerial Investigation and Mapping Projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proposals must be submitted to HPCPCalls@HistoricEngland.org.uk by 14 September 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">History in the Making<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For the third round of History in the Making, we are looking to provide grants of up to \u00a315,000. Successful applicants will work directly with young people out-of-school hours in areas of high social deprivation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proposals must be submitted by 23:59 on Friday, 24 July 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find out how to apply for funding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Data Supply and Reconciliation between the National Record of the Historic Environment and Historic Environment Records<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We are receiving applications for grants of up to 50% from local authorities, or partnerships led by a local authority, wishing to take part in the transfer and reconciliation of the terrestrial component of the National Record of the Historic Environment (NRHE) with their local Historic Environment Records (HERs).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The strategic plan priority that these projects link to is Sector.
