To celebrate Vanbrugh300<\/a>, The Georgian Group is inviting young designers, makers and imaginative minds to take part in our special competition and step into his shoes, to 30\/09.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Georgian Group writes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No matter where you live in Britain, take part in this fun competition to design your very own piece of wearable architecture that reflects one of Vanbrugh’s incredible buildings. It could be one of the houses you’ve visited during VANBRUGH300 with your family, or better yet, a Vanbrugh building you’ve explored through photos, videos or online research. Think big. Think bold. Think Baroque! Your hat could be: a towering dome, a dramatic fa\u00e7ade, a miniature castle, a swirling staircase or a completely imaginative interpretation of Vanbrugh\u2019s style. As long as it\u2019s wearable and inspired by his architecture, it counts. There are two age categories: 5 – 7 and 8 – 11<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prizes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winners in each age category will not only have their designs showcased online, but they will also win a family ticket to visit one of the Vanbrugh partner sites involved in Vanbrugh300:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
