{"id":4651,"date":"2012-08-31T17:43:13","date_gmt":"2012-08-31T17:43:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=4651"},"modified":"2012-08-31T17:43:13","modified_gmt":"2012-08-31T17:43:13","slug":"capita-takes-over-tyneside-planning-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=4651","title":{"rendered":"Capita takes over Tyneside planning service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">North Tyneside Council has agreed a deal with consultancy Capita Symonds that will involve the contractor running elements of the council&#8217;s planning service for the next 15 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Capita Symonds has announced that it has been selected as preferred bidder by North Tyneside Council to provide wide-ranging planning, property, highways and maintenance services in a partnership designed to deliver both cost savings and improved services to citizens.<\/p>\n<p>The core contract is expected to be worth approximately \u00a3152m over 15 years.
