The Linkedin group for The Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC), which is open to members and non-members of the IHBC, has just passed the 2000 mark.<\/span><\/p>\n

IHBC past chair and Linkedin Group administrator, Dave Chetwyn said: \u2018We\u2019re absolutely delighted with the success of our group to date. It has become an essential forum for lively discussions, exchange of information and practical advice. Group membership is open to anyone with a genuine interest in conservation and heritage issues, and includes both IHBC members and heritage experts and interests from around the globe.\u2019<\/p>\n

IHBC Director Se\u00e1n O\u2019Reilly added: \u2018The IHBC also uses the Group to alert people to jobs, events and news items, so even those not subscribing to the full IHBC membership service can catch headline issues and join in our discussions. You do have to ask to join, but it is very simple, and that minimizes the \u2018spamming\u2019 that other sites suffer from. And of course if you really want to get involved in a serious conservation conversation, joining IHBC itself is the best way to start!\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Anyone interested can join the Group and learn from fascinating and often learned discussions, from understanding un-authorised works to challenges around weirs and curtilage, as well as hear about the IHBC\u2019s advocacy and career support.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Simply asking to join the Group, but please also remember to abide by our Group rules, as these help keep the Group working as it should\u2019.<\/p>\n
