{"id":46044,"date":"2026-03-20T16:05:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-20T16:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=46044"},"modified":"2026-03-20T16:06:25","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T16:06:25","slug":"youth-sentiment-on-construction-careers-holds-firm-ciob-report-shows","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=46044","title":{"rendered":"Youth sentiment on construction careers holds firm, CIOB report shows"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Young people continue to view construction careers positively, with sentiment largely unchanged from last year, according to a new report from the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>CIOB writes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This research investigates the attitudes, perceptions, and views towards construction careers through a survey of 2,001 young people (aged 16-24) and 2,000 parents (aged 31+) across the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two thirds (68%) of young people surveyed hold a positive view of construction careers while more than three quarters (79%) of parents are supportive of their child pursuing a career in the sector.
