Whether you join us online or in person, let\u2019s all look for solutions to current heritage challenges in 2026 in June, online \u2013 and if you can, in-person \u2013 from Newcastle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018In that context too, as well as offering my sincere thanks to the North Branch for their hard work, I am also especially pleased to confirm that the Annual Day School will open with a welcome from Dr Anna Keay OBE, Director of the Landmark Trust.&nbsp;&nbsp;Many thanks indeed Anna!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Anna Keay said: \u2018I am very much looking forward to discussing the Landmark Trust\u2019s experience of the exciting possibilities of reusing old buildings with delegates at the IHBC conference.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IHBC\u2019s Full School in Newcastle (18\u201320 June) will include a rich and varied programme designed to inform, inspire, and support continuing professional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>CPD Study Tours 1<\/strong>: Thursday 18 June will begin with a series of CPD Study Tours, offering delegates the opportunity to explore significant buildings and places across the region, with a focus on this year\u2019s theme, Adaptive Reuse.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Welcome Reception<\/strong>: The day will conclude with a Welcome Reception at the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, a former flour mill and a celebrated example of Adaptive Reuse, overlooking the River Tyne and the iconic Gateshead Millennium Bridge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Day School<\/strong>: Friday 19 June will host the Day School, featuring a diverse programme of speakers and discussions exploring adaptive reuse in practice. The Day School will be held at The Common Room, a historic Grade II* listed venue in the heart of the city, and can be attended in person or online.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>School Dinner &amp; Award presentations<\/strong>: Friday will round off with the Annual School Dinner and Award presentations on our Student and March Award programmes, all hosted in the Grade II listed Royal Station Hotel.
