?Call for LA entries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Urban Design Group (UDG) has launched the third round of awards and would like to invite your local authority or public sector agency to submit an entry for the 2013 award, with a deadline for entries of Friday 31 August 2012.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">UDG writes<\/span>:<br \/>\nThe Urban Design Group is always keen to give recognition to the important, creative and high quality work being done in urban design by public sector bodies, particularly in these challenging and cash-strapped times.<\/p>\n<p>In 2010 we introduced a new national award for urban design work in the public sector and over the past two years we have been able to highlight the outstanding achievements of many local authorities around the UK\u2026<\/p>\n<p>We are now launching the third round of awards and would like to invite your local authority or public sector agency to submit an entry for the 2013 award.<\/p>\n<p>Submissions can be made across a wide range of areas &#8211; from engineering through to planning; landscape design to community involvement &#8211; including:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Completed Development<\/span><br \/>\n\u00b7 Town centre schemes<br \/>\n\u00b7 Extensions<br \/>\n\u00b7 New settlements<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Procurement<\/span><br \/>\n\u00b7 Design briefs<br \/>\n\u00b7 Design guidance<br \/>\n\u00b7 Design codes<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Policy and Promotion<\/span><br \/>\n\u00b7 Design awards<br \/>\n\u00b7 Vision statements<br \/>\n\u00b7 Policy statements<br \/>\n\u00b7 Urban design frameworks<br \/>\n\u00b7 Conservation area enhancement<\/p>\n<p>There is no entry fee and, as a further incentive, the Urban Design Group is offering six months\u2019 free individual membership for two employees of any authority\/agency submitting an entry;
