{"id":44994,"date":"2025-12-30T16:39:25","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T16:39:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=44994"},"modified":"2025-12-30T16:39:26","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T16:39:26","slug":"ihbc-issues-formal-notice-for-2026-agm-online-on-7-january-2026-from-5-30pm-with-special-presentation-for-6pm-start-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=44994","title":{"rendered":"IHBC issues formal notice for 2026 AGM, online on 7 January 2026, from 5.30pm (with special presentation!) for 6pm start"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IHBC_logo_horizontal.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IHBC_logo_horizontal.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20861\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">IHBC AGM WEDNESDAY 7 JANUARY 2026 ONLINE:<br>Presentation from 5.30pm and AGM from 6.00pm<br>AGM FOR IHBC MEMBERS ONLY<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ihbc.wufoo.com\/forms\/z21gviq1oanoaf\/\">REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED &#8211; BOOK HERE<\/a><\/strong><br><br><a href=\"https:\/\/ihbc.wufoo.com\/forms\/z5jo5x51rjbwlc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SUBMIT APOLOGIES<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IHBC Chair David McDonald has written to all members of the IHBC updating on the 2026 AGM, to take place online on Wednesday 7 January 2026 at 6pm, with a presentation from 5.30pm, and if you have not received yours, check your email trash, and contact Lydia Porter at <a href=\"mailto:admin@ihbc.org.uk\">admin@ihbc.org.uk<\/a> as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David McDonald writes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am writing to confirm our 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) programme and details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>full programme of IHBC CPD<\/strong>&nbsp;for the AGM will open at 5.30pm when all members are invited to join Historic England\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/historicengland.org.uk\/whats-new\/news\/new-chief-executive-in-post\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Co-Chief Executive<\/em><\/a>for a short presentation, with time for questions, on \u2018<em>Historic England: New&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/historicengland.org.uk\/whats-new\/news\/new-chief-executive-in-post\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Co-Chief Executive<\/em><\/a><em>&nbsp;roles and priorities \u2013 Growth, Place, and the Heritage Sector\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The AGM<\/strong>&nbsp;itself is, as ever, a critical moment in our cycle of governance and all categories of membership are strongly encouraged to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The AGM Agenda\u2026 includes links to the Trustees\u2019 Report and Financial statement for the year ending 30 September 2024, nomination details for the Trustees to be appointed at this AGM, as well as a formal resolution on next steps in our ongoing exploration of a Charter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our accredited members \u2013 that is Associates, Full Members and Retired \u2013 may vote on all the resolutions, including the current appointments of Trustees to the Board following an uncontested election, in line with our new&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ihbc.org.uk\/business\/docs\/MASTER%20Articles%20of%20Association%20adopted%20at%20GM%20on%2026%20March%202021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Articles<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those Trustees being appointed this year are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Joanna Saady \u2013 Treasurer and Trustee, who vacates her current role as Trustee without portfolio<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serena Cardozo \u2013 Trustee, who is moving on from her role as an annually co-opted Trustee appointed by the Board, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alexandra Fairclough, a Trustee who is new to the Board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PROXY VOTING:<\/strong>&nbsp;All voting members (Full, Associate and Retired) are encouraged to vote in advance of the AGM using our proxy forms \u2013 Short or Long \u2013 in case of non-attendance or technical issues during the online AGM. Proxy arrangements close at 12 noon on 7 January 2026. The links to the proxy forms are shown above and below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>PLEASE NOTE: The IHBC\u2019s Annual General Meeting is open exclusively to IHBC members.&nbsp; IHBC members of ALL categories are encouraged to attend.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Voting at the Annual General Meeting is open ONLY to Full, Associate and Retired IHBC members.
