\u2018This round once again demonstrates the variety of roles that employers are looking to the IHBC for help to fill.  They recognise the same service standards and values capture in our Charter-linked discussions, centred on delivering public benefit by supporting interdisciplinary conservation practice in the built and historic environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018As our professional focus is on interdisciplinary built and historic conservation, in line with our exploration of a petition for Charter, we both demand and support cross-discipline and cross-sector engagement, and this which ensures our wide reach.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our key sector of core users look to conservation professionals working in local government in areas that integrate conservation standards and public benefits around heritage conservation and regeneration. In this round we see such posts from Stratford-upon-Avon District Council, for a Conservation Officer, and from West Suffolk Council, for a Principal Conservation Officer and a Senior Conservation Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Widening this focus from conservation to encompass heritage more generally, this round we see the Broads Authority calling for a Planning and Heritage Officer, from Surrey District Council for an Historic Buildings Officer to join the Historic Environment Planning Team and, continued in a more nuanced designation of the post, Brecon Beacons National Park Authority\u2019s call for a Senior Heritage Officer (Building Conservation).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
