Today there is one car for every two people living in Dublin\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2026 1937 saw Dublin\u2019s first set of traffic lights&#8230;. Reports stated that \u2018there was considerable confusion at first\u2019..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As cars became more commonplace, traffic and obstructive parking became an issue\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2026 Dublin\u2019s population moved out of the inner city to newly built suburbs&#8230; &#8216;The Safe Cross Code\u2019 song was taught to children to instil good road crossing habits\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent years an &#8216;edge city\u2019 has emerged where shopping centres, business parks and entertainment\u2026 located off the M50\u2026.
