The IHBC has received 49 submissions to our 2025 Student Awards<\/a>, all hoping that our guest judge \u2013 soon to be appointed – will choose them for the coveted and certificated Award, \u00a3500 cash, and a place at IHBC\u2019s 2026 Annual School \u2013 #IHBCNewcastle2026<\/a> \u2013 on 18-20 June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

IHBC Director Se\u00e1n O\u2018Reilly said: \u2018On behalf of the IHBC I\u2019d like to thank the many students who have taken the trouble to submit for our celebrated Gus Astley Annual Student Award<\/a>.  Seeing the breadth, depth and diversity of submissions to this award is always both eye-opening and jaw-dropping.  And even more so this year as entrants continue to show real interest after some quieter years over the pandemic.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018This, our 2024-25 round had to close at the end of September, a month later than usual.  Assessment is not easy for anyone when this happens, as evaluation times are even tighter\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018But I know that our internal lead on the Awards, Bob Kindred, will do all he can to help keep us to schedule, with conclusions due in 2026\u2019s first quarter.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
