{"id":4431,"date":"2012-07-13T16:19:11","date_gmt":"2012-07-13T16:19:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=4431"},"modified":"2012-07-13T16:19:11","modified_gmt":"2012-07-13T16:19:11","slug":"18-heritage-winners-of-catalyst-endowments-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=4431","title":{"rendered":"18 heritage winners of Catalyst endowments announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">18 heritage organisations have secured a total of \u00a327.5m of the \u00a355m Catalyst Endowment Fund, a joint initiative between the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), Arts Council England (ACE) and the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Designed to bring new money into the cultural sector, the programme offers match-funding to help arts and heritage organisations secure their financial stability by building a new endowment fund or developing an existing one.<\/p>\n<p>The 18 successful heritage organisations will use the grants of between \u00a3500,000 and \u00a35m to attract a further \u00a353.5m from private philanthropic sources, on a sliding ratio of 1:1 to 3:1.<\/p>\n<p>Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt and the Chair of the Catalyst judging panel Michael Portillo announced the full list of Catalyst Endowment awards recipients at a ceremony held at the Victoria and Albert Museum on 20 June.<\/p>\n<p>They are: Strawberry Hill Trust (\u00a3500,000); Windermere Steam Boat Museum (\u00a3500,000); Arnos Vale Cemetery Trust (\u00a3500,000); Lincoln Cathedral (\u00a31,000,000); Greenwich Foundation for the Old Royal Naval College (\u00a31,000,000); St Martin\u2019s in the Fields (\u00a31,000,000); National Portrait Gallery (\u00a31,000,000); Mary Rose Trust (\u00a31,000,000); Pallant House Gallery (\u00a31,000,000); The Holburne Museum of Art (\u00a31,000,000); Bowes Museum (\u00a31,000,000); Sir John Soane\u2019s Museum (\u00a32,000,000); Dulwich Picture Gallery (\u00a32,000,000); The British Library (\u00a32,000,000); Victoria and Albert Museum (\u00a35,000,000); National Museum of the Royal Navy (HMS Victory) (\u00a35,000,000); Linen Hall Library, Northern Ireland (\u00a31,000,000); The Abbotsford Trust, Scotland (\u00a31,000,000).<\/p>\n<p>The Heritage Lottery Fund will run a second round of Catalyst Endowments in the autumn, with awards to be announced in spring 2013.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For details of how to apply see<\/span>: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hlf.org.uk\/HowToApply\/programmes\/Pages\/Catalyst.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">LINK <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>18 heritage organisations have secured a total of \u00a327.5m of the \u00a355m Catalyst Endowment Fund, a joint initiative between the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), Arts Council England (ACE) and the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).
