More than half of the sites are part of the Island\u2019s heritage rail network past and present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The list includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Legislative Chambers, Douglas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Royal Chapel, St John\u2019s<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Former School of Art, Douglas (now Kensington Arts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Former Peel Railway Station (now part of the House of Manannan)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kirk Michael Fire Station (former Railway Station)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Douglas Railway Station Workshops<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Douglas Railway Station Signal Box<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monk\u2019s Bridge, Malew<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Groudle Viaduct<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Moore\u2019s Bridge, Laxey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Laxey Manx Electric Railway Viaduct<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ballure Manx Electric Railway Viaduct<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Stone Bridge, Ramsey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The move marks the start of a public consultation, which runs until 15 August 2025. During this period, members of the public and other interested parties can share their views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This can be done by emailing buildingconservation@gov.im or via post to: Senior Registered Buildings Officer, Planning and Building Control Directorate, Murray House, Mount Havelock, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM1 2SF<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PRN\u2019s represent the first step in the formal process of protecting a building or structure under Manx law.&nbsp; Clare Barber MHK, Minister for Environment, Food and Agriculture, said: &#8216;These proposals reflect the depth and diversity of the Island\u2019s built heritage \u2014 from the grandeur of the Legislative Chambers to the engineering legacy of our historic railways.
