{"id":429,"date":"2009-05-29T10:44:52","date_gmt":"2009-05-29T10:44:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=429"},"modified":"2010-03-23T10:45:20","modified_gmt":"2010-03-23T10:45:20","slug":"heacs-dissolution-process-in-place","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=429","title":{"rendered":"HEACS: dissolution process in place"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Built Environment Forum Scotland today notified its members that the process for the dissolution of HEACS \u2013 Scotland\u2019s outgoing historic environment advisory group \u2013 has commenced today (29 May) with the introduction of the Public Services Reform Bill to Parliament. \u00a0The policy memorandum gives the rationale for dissolution, which centred on duplication. \u00a0Para 57 notes:<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The key driver behind dissolution of HEACS is duplication. Historic Scotland is responsible for providing expert advice to Ministers on the historic environment and in recent years has increased both its capacity to deal with policy analysis and its degree of consultation and engagement with stakeholders. This has enabled the Scottish Historic Environment Policy programme to progress.
