{"id":42288,"date":"2025-02-28T17:19:16","date_gmt":"2025-02-28T17:19:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=42288"},"modified":"2025-02-28T17:19:16","modified_gmt":"2025-02-28T17:19:16","slug":"ihbc-issues-formal-notice-for-2025-agm-13-may-2025-5-30pm-for-6pm-start-online-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=42288","title":{"rendered":"IHBC issues formal notice for 2025 AGM: 13 May 2025, 5.30pm for 6pm start, online"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/newsblogsnew.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IHBC-logo-no-words-purple-MASTER.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogsnew.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IHBC-logo-no-words-purple-MASTER.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27271\" style=\"width:194px;height:auto\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>IHBC Chair David McDonald has written to all members of the IHBC with the date of and guidance on the 2025 AGM, to take place online on Tuesday 13 May 2024 at 6pm, with the full programme starting at 5.30pm\u2019, so if you have not received your notice, check your email trash first, and contact IHBC Company Secretary Lydia Porter at <a href=\"mailto:admin@ihbc.org.uk\">admin@ihbc.org.uk<\/a> as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>David McDonald writes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2026 In line with our new Articles, business will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The consideration of the accounts, balance sheets, reports of the Board (including the annual report) and auditors;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The retirement, appointment or re-appointment of Directors, our Trustees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The appointment of the auditors, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elections to the Board, under our new Articles, as discussed below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As the AGM is a critical moment in our cycle of governance, all members of any category are of course encouraged to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further details of the 2025 AGM will be notified to members in our forthcoming digital suite of AGM Papers, and will include the &#8216;Trustees\u2019 report\u2019 for the financial year 2022-23 \u2013 as the next report due for members \u2013 while also updating on current operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among other business matters at the AGM, our accredited members \u2013 that is Associates, Full Members and Retired \u2013 will elect new members of our Board of Trustees.&nbsp; Nominations are sought for vacant posts, especially to address current gaps: early and mid-career; diversity; fundraising or marketing experience.&nbsp; Formal roles and posts are open to accredited members only, and subject to the timely receipt of nominations by the closing date of 2 April.&nbsp;
