{"id":4081,"date":"2012-04-20T16:29:02","date_gmt":"2012-04-20T16:29:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ihbconline.co.uk\/newsachive\/?p=4081"},"modified":"2012-04-20T18:42:04","modified_gmt":"2012-04-20T18:42:04","slug":"hs-seeking-advisory-committee-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=4081","title":{"rendered":"HS: Seeking advisory committee members"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Historic Scotland invites applications from persons for appointment as a Member of the Agency\u2019s Advisory Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Historic Scotland says:<\/p>\n<p>Historic Scotland has established an Advisory Committee comprising the Senior Management Team and a number of external members.<\/p>\n<p>The Committee will act as a \u2018critical friend\u2019, providing challenge, support and advice on the overall vision and strategic direction taken by the agency. Particular attention will be paid by the Committee to the implementation of the Corporate Plan and, in due course, preparation of the next Plan.<\/p>\n<p>The Committee will meet at least 3 times a year and the overall time commitment required is likely to be around 10 days a year. The positions are normally remunerated at a daily rate of \u00a3200, although serving Public Servants who get paid time off to attend meetings would not be remunerated.<\/p>\n<p>However, Historic Scotland would reimburse the employer up to the maximum of the daily rate fee.Historic Scotland intend to appoint two additional external members to the Advisory Committee. Members with specific expertise in and professional knowledge of either archaeology or historic buildings are being sought.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Role<\/span>:<br \/>\n1. Provide challenging, innovative and informed input to the Advisory Committee;<\/p>\n<p>2. Bring an external view and contribute at strategic level on the development and implementation of Historic Scotland\u2019s Corporate Plan; and<\/p>\n<p>3.
