We&#8217;re all about repairing and upgrading existing buildings and bringing neglected historic buildings back into use. After all, what could be more sustainable than reusing and recycling the buildings we already have?\u00a0 Get inspired by our previous shortlist and winners.\u00a0 Many thanks to Keymer Handmade Tiles for sponsoring this Award. Please email development@spab.org.uk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are we looking for?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Building conservation projects that have made old buildings more energy efficient while keeping their historic fabric and character, in line with the SPAB Approach<\/li>\n<li>A \u2018whole building\u2019 approach to sustainability and conservation<\/li>\n<li>Use of local, sustainable materials that are suitable to the historic building<\/li>\n<li>Buildings must be in the UK or Republic of Ireland (including Channel Islands and Isle of Man)<\/li>\n<li>Projects must have taken place in 2022 or 2023<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to enter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please enter via the online form. We need to know:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your name<\/li>\n<li>The name of the building<\/li>\n<li>How it meets the criteria above<\/li>\n<li>Who was involved in the project, e.g. owners, contractors<\/li>\n<li>Why you think the building deserves this Award<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You need to include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of three and a maximum of six high-resolution images (JPGs or PNGs) that show the building and how it meets the criteria (300dpi minimum)<\/li>\n<li>Image credits and description saved in the file names, e.g. \u2018Gutters \u00a9 William Morris\u2019<\/li>\n<li>You must have the photographer\u2019s permission to submit these images<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All Awards are free to enter. Shortlisted entries will be required to purchase at least one in-person ticket to the Awards Ceremony (\u00a359 Members, \u00a369 Non-Members).
