\u2018Any IHBC NewsBlog or IHBC Jobs<\/em> etc.<\/em> listing ranges widely across sectors, skills, employers, locations and roles, but all have one special consideration in common: they target IHBC members and their skills as well as our wide-ranging networks to secure the right profile they need, of competence, knowledge and experience in conservation and related discipline and roles.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018The current round of postings highlights the need both for high-level management and strategic advisory roles as well as on-the-ground practice and support-focussed skills in building and area conservation.\u00a0 this round even includes a call for a conservation graduate!\u2019<\/p>\n

For example, senior management and technical skills continue to loom large, whether alongside a property and estate management focus, with the Charterhouse\u2019s call for a Head of Estates, or Historic England\u2019s post of Head of Historic Building Climate Change Adaptation.\u00a0 Levels also range widely, from substantial sand specific asset management roles, such as<\/p>\n

Norwich Historic Churches Trust: Head of Operations, Conservation and Heritage, to Lancaster City Council\u2019s call for a Conservation Graduate.<\/p>\n

While a more typical \u2018Conservation Officer\u2019 post is offered at Maidstone, in the form of a Principal Conservation Officer or Conservation Officer, our \u2018Jobs etc\u2019<\/em> service is now also reaching beyond the more familiar roles and employers.\u00a0 For example Habitats & Heritage seeks a Conservation & Interpretation Officer, while the local authority\u2019s model Conservation Officer service role are more evident in the call by Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation for a Heritage & Stewardship Officer.<\/p>\n

Another interesting variant seeking access to the IHBC\u2019s networks, services and skills is The Commonwealth War Graves Commission as it calls for both a Historic Building Survey Manager (Condition Survey Manager) and a Conservation Advisor.<\/p>\n

The wider NGO, non-profit and Places of Worship practice areas also see the value of the IHBC\u2019s employment networks and services, with The Dioceses of Monmouth and Llandaff seeking a Senior Church Buildings Surveyor and the Churches Conservation Trust: Conservation Projects Manager, South East.<\/p>\n

Rounding of this small but still largely representative section or professional areas covered in our service is the private sector call by tor&co for a Senior Heritage Consultant.<\/p>\n
