The extensive consultation that has taken place has been justified, and for me it has been pleasure to meet and discuss the wide-ranging issues both in-person and online with branch members. I look forward to progressing matters with the Privy Council Office over the next few months.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-39562\" src=\"https:\/\/newsblogs.ihbc.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/DrRobynPender-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"160\" height=\"160\" \/>\u2018I\u2019d especially like to thank Robyn for her 2024 Reading School-linked review heating in our homes, not least as we\u2019d hoped to have her along there too, but the dates didn\u2019t work.\u00a0 However we do still have a remarkable body of skills and expertise across 12 and 13-15 June coming.\u00a0 The Virtual Day School places are priced to maximise access to its learning, so if you can\u2019t attend on the day, be sure to secure your recording by booking our Virtual School so you can watch and learn when suits.<\/p>\n<p>Mike Brown, President of the IHBC said, \u2018I\u2019d like to thank all those members who took the time and trouble to attend the AGM and those who sent in their proxies.\u00a0 It is gratifying to see such support for the IHBC and the band of trustees, volunteers and our staff that make it all work.\u00a0 As always, I would encourage all members to come forward and stand for office or simply volunteer and hour or two to help us make this the great institution we think it is.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It is particularly pleasing to see such overwhelming support for our proposal to seek a Royal Charter for the Institute.\u00a0 With the formal adoption of the resolution at the AGM that work (and it will be a huge task) now begins.
