We\u2019re improving health outcomes, tackling health inequalities, and saving the NHS \u00a31.1 billion every year\u2026.<\/p>\n<h2>Engaged people and cohesive communities<\/h2>\n<p>We provide vital green spaces for over nine million living within a 10\u201315-minute walk. This access to nature helps build and sustain social connections and communities\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026.<\/p>\n<h2>Prosperous and connected places<\/h2>\n<p>We&#8217;re contributing \u00a31.5 billion per year to the UK economy and supporting 80,000 jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Our canals and rivers provide tourism, spaces for sustainable urban waterside living and businesses, and host telecommunications and utilities across the country\u2026.<\/p>\n<h2>Green and blue futures<\/h2>\n<p>Our canals and river navigations are nationally important infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re protecting homes and businesses from flooding by keeping our embankments and reservoirs in good condition.
