The IHBC\u2019s 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024 programme will take place online on 30 April 2024, from 5.30pm with Dr Robyn Pender opening the CPD programme, on \u2018\u2026 energy in buildings\u2026\u2019, exclusively for ALL IHBC membership categories.<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n

The full programme is open and free exclusively to IHBC members in ANY membership category .<\/p>\n The IHBC writes:<\/p>\n The full programme of IHBC CPD for the AGM will open at 5.30pm with a talk by\u00a0Dr Robyn Pender<\/a>\u00a0entitled \u2018Taming the elephant in the room: \u2018Why exactly are we using so much energy in buildings in the first place\u2019?<\/p>\n Dr Pender recently retired from the Building Climate Adaptation Team at Historic England, having been a Senior Building Conservation Advisor there and at English Heritage since 2005. Robyn is currently a Director at the \u2018climate emergency\u2019 training and research consultancy, Whethergauge. You can find more background to her work and presentation on our NewsBlog update\u00a0HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n In line with our new\u00a0Articles<\/a>, business will include:<\/p>\n You can see more background to discussions on the resolution\u00a0HERE<\/a> and the covering report\u00a0HERE<\/a><\/p>\n Following the business of the meeting there will be an opportunity to raise, discuss and explore current issues of interest to members with officers and members.<\/p>\n As the AGM is a critical moment in our cycle of governance, all categories of membership are strongly encouraged to attend.<\/p>\n Among ordinary business matters at the AGM, our accredited members \u2013 that is Associates, Full Members and Retired \u2013 will vote on the election of our new Board of Trustees. \u00a0Members will also be asked to vote on the proposals in the Resolution linked to the next steps on the exploration of an IHBC Petition for Charter, the submission of a \u2018memorandum\u2019 on the IHBC to the Privy Council Office to understand its views the matter.<\/p>\n Detailed content of the 2024 AGM will be notified in a forthcoming full Agenda, and will include the \u2018Trustees report\u2019 for 2021-22 \u2013 as the next report due for approval \u2013 as well as the names of trustees going forward for election and updates on current operations.<\/p>\n Remember too that while\u00a0all IHBC members of all categories are encouraged to attend the AGM\u00a0\u2013 with IHBC CPD certificates available on request, reflecting the status of the business \u2013\u00a0only Full, Associates and Retired members may vote.<\/p>\n Voting by proxy will be available to qualifying members who cannot attend, or who want to vote in advance.
