Whilst making sure that this guidance goes hand in hand with the National Design Guide, the document will also make sure that Liverpool\u2019s future tall buildings complement the city\u2019s character, heritage assets and image.<\/p>\n<p>The council has identified five locations around the city that could be appropriate for clusters of tall buildings. These are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liverpool Waters<\/li>\n<li>Commercial District<\/li>\n<li>Leeds Street\/Pall Mall<\/li>\n<li>Paddington Village<\/li>\n<li>Southern fringe of Baltic Triangle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Director of Planning and Building Control at Liverpool City Council, Samantha Campbell, said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis Tall Buildings SPD sets out a framework, with a clear objective to guide the development of tall buildings in a positive and proactive manner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTall buildings can play an essential part of Liverpool\u2019s growth and regeneration.
