foundation has pledged over \u00a340m to charities since it was created\u2026<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<p><em>Civil Society<\/em> writes:<\/p>\n<p>Hamish Ogston and his daughter have both resigned from its board, with three trustees appointed since the allegations arose.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the National Trust has removed Ogston\u2019s name from an apprenticeship scheme his foundation paid \u00a36.2m to fund, although it is still reviewing whether to return the donated money&#8230;.<\/p>\n<h3>New trustees appointed<\/h3>\n<p>An\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.civilsociety.co.uk\/news\/charities-review-millions-from-trust-as-chair-accused-of-sex-worker-immigration-scandal.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">investigation published by the Sunday Times earlier this month<\/a>\u00a0alleged that millionaire founder Hamish Ogston trafficked women for his private office or the charity.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.civilsociety.co.uk\/news\/charity-to-reject-record-11m-donation-from-trust-whose-accused-founder-resigns.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ogston retired as a trustee<\/a> from the foundation earlier this month&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;.he no longer has a role in the governance or running of the charity.<\/p>\n<p>His daughter, Isabella Ogston, has also retired as a trustee and member \u201cto allow the Foundation to move forward with fresh leadership\u201d despite having no connection to the allegations.<\/p>\n<p>The foundation has appointed John Rutter and Paul Finch to join Robert Bargery on the board.<\/p>\n<h2>National Trust changes the name of its Ogston partnership<\/h2>\n<p>The foundation has pledged over \u00a340m to charities since it was created four years ago, although grant recipients have rejected millions since the allegations were reported.<\/p>\n<p>English Heritage rejected a \u00a311.2m donation&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>The National Trust, which received a \u00a36.2m donation from the foundation&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;.has since removed his name&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for the National Trust said the charity is still reviewing
