Open Doors writes:<\/p>\n

\u2026 Join the national celebration of Wales\u2019 built heritage: Open Doors 2023\u2026<\/p>\n

This September, more than 200 of Wales\u2019 historic sites, landmarks and hidden gems will offer visitors free entry, events or guided tours.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s all part of Open Doors \u2014 Wales\u2019 annual contribution to the European Heritage Days initiative, which invites heritage organisations, private owners, local authorities and others to open their doors or offer activities to the public free of charge during September.<\/p>\n

Funded and organised by Cadw, the ever-popular festival of Wales\u2019 built heritage will this year, encourage Welsh residents and visitors alike to explore some of the country\u2019s lesser-known and smaller-scale sites ? several of which are usually closed to the public.<\/p>\n

European Heritage Open Days writes:<\/p>\n

\u2026 European Heritage Open Days is an annual event celebrating local architecture, history and culture, which takes place across Europe on the second weekend in September. In Northern Ireland European Heritage Open Days (EHOD) is run by the Department for Communities with the support of the Council of Europe and the European Commission.<\/p>\n

\u2026 EHOD 2023 is taking place over the weekend of 9-10 September 2023. It is a once-a-year opportunity for curious families, architect lovers and heritage enthusiasts to explore buildings and exclusive sites rarely open to the public.<\/p>\n
